{"id":12243,"date":"2008-09-18T15:46:48","date_gmt":"2008-09-18T22:46:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/resosante.ca\/anglais\/"},"modified":"2008-09-18T15:46:48","modified_gmt":"2008-09-18T22:46:48","slug":"anglais","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resosante.ca\/anglais\/","title":{"rendered":"Profile of R\u00e9soSant\u00e9 Colombie-Britannique"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>Following up on the mandate received from its members in November 2001, the <em data-mce-=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacolombiebritannique.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique<\/a><\/em> submitted a proposal to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/santefrancais.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sant\u00e9 en fran\u00e7ais<\/a><\/em> (SSF) to create a sectoral table on French-language health services in British Columbia. SSF is a nation-wide health cooperation network ensuring concerted efforts to improve French-language health services. One of its top priorities is to provide financial and technical support for the creation of networks in each province and territory where francophones are in the minority. There currently are 17 such networks in Canada. R\u00e9soSant\u00e9 incorporated in January 2013.<\/p>\n<h3>Mission<\/h3>\n<p>Based on beliefs of respect, diversity, equity, and accessibility, in a spirit of partnership and dialogue, <em data-mce-=\"\">R\u00e9soSant\u00e9 Colombie-Britannique<\/em> supports the development, integration, and sustainability of French-language health services throughout BC. <em>R\u00e9soSant\u00e9 <\/em>proposes, develops and supports the implementation of strategies; promotes French-language health services; ensures the sharing of information; promotes awareness and involvement of the francophone population; and proposes and facilitates research on French-language health services in BC.<\/p>\n<h3>Make-up of R\u00e9soSant\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Community representation:<\/strong>La Boussole, an aid agency for disadvantaged people in Vancouver, la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fpfcb.bc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des parents francophones de Colombie-Britannique <\/a>(Francophone parents Federation), the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/english\/english_and_csf.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Conseil scolaire francophone<\/a> (Francophone Education Authority of BC) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccfpg.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cercle des Canadiens-Fran\u00e7ais de Prince-George<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Institutional representation:<\/strong> One representative each from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foyermaillard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Foyer Maillard<\/em>,<\/a> a bilingual care home for the elderly, and two BC health authorities<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vch.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Vancouver Coastal Health<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phsa.ca\/default.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Provincial Health Services Authority<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health professionals:<\/strong> Drs Brian Conway and Huguette Sansonnet-Hayden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Governments:<\/strong> One representative each from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hc-sc.gc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hc-sc.gc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canada<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.bc.ca\/health\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the BC Ministry of Health Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Educational institutions:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.educacentre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coll\u00e8ge \u00c9ducacentre<\/a> representing college level health training programs.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities of R\u00e9soSant\u00e9<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Directory of French-speaking health professionals<\/li>\n<li>French version of the Ministry of Health Services\u2019 BC HealthGuide<\/li>\n<li>Healthy eating workshops for the pre-school and school systems<\/li>\n<li>Health education resources for the secondary school system<\/li>\n<li>Workshops and online health terminology resources for health professionals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>HOW TO REACH US?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">201-2929 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC V5N 4C8<br \/> Phone: 604-629-1000 &#x25aa; Email: <a href=\"mailto:info@resosante.ca\">info@resosante.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction Following up on the mandate received from its members in November 2001, the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique submitted a proposal to Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sant\u00e9 en fran\u00e7ais (SSF) to create a sectoral table on French-language health services in British Columbia.
