On se fait parfois conseiller de prendre des suppl\u00e9ments, mais qu\u2019est-ce que la vitamine D et en avons-nous vraiment besoin? Voici quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments de r\u00e9ponse qui vous permettront de mieux appr\u00e9hender cette p\u00e9riode de l\u2019ann\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8rement, la vitamine D \u00e7a sert \u00e0 quoi?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

La vitamine D contribue majoritairement \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des os. Elle aide \u00e0 la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tissus osseux et \u00e0 absorber le calcium et le phosphore dans les aliments. Elle est aussi reconnue pour renforcer le syst\u00e8me immunitaire, pr\u00e9venir certains cancers et prot\u00e9ger contre le diab\u00e8te.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Attention, la vitamine D n\u2019est pas non plus magique. Il ne faut pas penser qu\u2019en prenant de la vitamine D on n\u2019est plus du tout \u00e0 risque par rapport au cancer, \u00e0 la Covid-19 ou \u00e0 d\u2019autres maladies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ses bienfaits en r\u00e9sum\u00e9:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Absorbe le calcium et le phosphore dans les aliments (aide \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des os)<\/p>\n

– Aide \u00e0 renforcer le syst\u00e8me immunitaire<\/span><\/p>\n

-Pr\u00e9vient certains cancers<\/span><\/p>\n

-Prot\u00e8ge contre les maladies du coeur<\/span><\/p>\n

-Prot\u00e8ge contre le diab\u00e8te<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

O\u00f9 se trouve la vitamine D?<\/b><\/p>\n

La principale source de Vitamine D provient du soleil. La r\u00e9action entre les rayons UVB et le cholest\u00e9rol enclenche la fabrication de vitamine D (par la photolyse). Il est aussi possible de retrouver de la vitamine D, quoique en faible quantit\u00e9, dans les aliments ; dans les poissons gras (saumon, thon rouge, le hareng), les produits laitiers enrichies comme le lait, les boissons de laits v\u00e9g\u00e9taux, la margarine et le jaune d\u2019oeuf. Il est sinon possible d\u2019acheter en pharmacie des comprim\u00e9s de vitamine D (D2 = source v\u00e9g\u00e9tale,\u00a0 D3 = source animale).<\/span><\/p>\n

Le vitamine D provient de:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Le soleil (rayons UVB) qui provoque la production de vitamine D dans notre corps<\/span><\/p>\n

-Les poissons gras comme le saumon, le thon rouge, le hareng<\/span><\/p>\n

-Les produits laitiers enrichies comme le lait de vache, les boissons de lait v\u00e9g\u00e9tales, la margarine et le jaune d\u2019oeuf.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Les comprim\u00e9s suppl\u00e9ment en Vitamine D<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

De combien en a-t-on besoin par jour?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Les quantit\u00e9s requises par jour d\u00e9pendent de plusieurs facteurs dont l\u2019\u00e2ge, la couleur de peau, les conditions m\u00e9dicales, et le poids. En moyenne, les quantit\u00e9s recommand\u00e9es sont:<\/span><\/p>\n

-de 0 \u00e0 1 an : 400 UI* par jour<\/span><\/p>\n

-de 1 \u00e0 70 ans : 600 UI par jour<\/span><\/p>\n

-plus de 70 ans : 800 UI par jour<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

De quelle dose d\u2019exposition au soleil avons-nous besoin pour produire assez de vitamine D?<\/b><\/p>\n

Il faut, en moyenne, entre 15 et 30 minutes d’exposition au soleil sur une surface suffisante (bras ou jambes par exemple) 2 \u00e0 3 fois par semaine pour avoir une production suffisante.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qu\u2019est-ce qui r\u00e9duit la production de vitamine D dans notre corps?<\/b><\/p>\n

-La saison<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

-Le smog<\/span><\/p>\n

-La pr\u00e9sence de nuages<\/span><\/p>\n

-Le moment de la journ\u00e9e<\/span><\/p>\n

-L’utilisation d’un \u00e9cran solaire<\/span><\/p>\n

-La quantit\u00e9 de peau expos\u00e9e au soleil<\/span><\/p>\n

-Le fait de ne pas passer trop de temps \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur<\/span><\/p>\n

-La quantit\u00e9 de m\u00e9lanine (pigmentation naturelle qui rend la peau plus fonc\u00e9e)<\/span><\/p>\n

-L’\u00e2ge (diminue avec le temps)<\/span><\/p>\n

Quels sont les effets d\u2019une carence en Vitamine D?<\/b><\/p>\n

Une carence en vitamine D peut causer multiples probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 comme:<\/span><\/p>\n

-L\u2019ost\u00e9oporose<\/span><\/p>\n

-Les maladies cardiaques<\/span><\/p>\n

-La d\u00e9pression<\/span><\/p>\n

-Le cancer\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-La scl\u00e9rose en plaques.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Une baisse d\u2019\u00e9nergie<\/span><\/p>\n

-L\u2019humeur maussade<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Attention!<\/b><\/p>\n

Il est possible de surconsommer de la vitamine D! Sa surconsommation peut causer des effets ind\u00e9sirables commes des faiblesses musculaires, des naus\u00e9es, des vomissements, de l\u2019hypertension, de l’arythmie cardiaque, des probl\u00e8mes aux reins, des probl\u00e8mes digestifs, des maux de t\u00eates et des maux de ventre. C\u2019est pourquoi il est tr\u00e8s important de consulter son m\u00e9decin pour \u00e9viter les surdoses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Donc, dois-je prendre des suppl\u00e9ments de Vitamine D ?<\/b><\/p>\n

Pour savoir si on a besoin de prendre des suppl\u00e9ments, il faut en parler avec un <\/span>m\u00e9decin<\/span>. Seulement 30% des Canadiens ont une carence en vitamine D et donc il n\u2019est pas recommand\u00e9 syst\u00e9matiquement de prendre des suppl\u00e9ments en vitamine D parce qu\u2019on est en hiver par exemple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Si vous consid\u00e9rez prendre des suppl\u00e9ments de vitamine D, consultez votre m\u00e9decin pour \u00eatre certain que vous en avez vraiment besoin et que vous consommez les bonnes quantit\u00e9s pour \u00e9viter les effets ind\u00e9sirables.<\/span><\/p>\n
